Information for Parents

Hello Parents,

Hannah and I are so excited for your kids to arrive tomorrow.

Wanted to make you aware that Guatemala is 2 hours behind GA time. Their plane is scheduled to arrive at 11:16 Guate time. If their flight is on time, and by the time they all get their luggage and go through customs. I anticipate us leaving the airport close to 1 Guate time. Which will be 3 ish in GA. When we return to Seteca, where we stay, Hannah will post a quick blog that the team has arrived.

If you have any concerns during the week. Please email me at apohlmeier@lakewoodlife.org
I'll be checking my mail periodically.

I've really been praying John 15 for the team. That we would do nothing apart from the Father. And we do ministry out of our relationship with Him.

We met with Pastor Saul last night. Such a great talk about the week.

Please be praying for
Caleb Parrish. He'll be preaching in the landfill's church service Sunday night.
Maddie Halstead and Sydney Creamer will be sharing living testimonies (what God is doing in their lives right now-in their quiet time) and David Funk will be leading worship (in English).

Basically the team will hit the ground running! Sunday will be a long good day. Pray for endurance.

So pray for our team as a whole, pray for your child. That this week would be transforming in their spiritual lives and that The Lord would show you ways to minister and encourage and pray for your high school student.

Here are the names of the leaders and students so you can pray by name.

Tuesday: same as Monday. Evening church service
Wednesday: Special needs hospital and free day in Antigua
Thursday: preschool in the AM. AIDS hospital for children in the afternoon
Friday: malnutrition center in the AM and feeding in the landfill in the PM
Saturday: prayer at the site for a new church plant with pastor Saul and then the afternoon rotations of construction, visits, and VBS.

We have a full week! At all the services students will be preaching or giving testimonies.

We know right now that Tuesday at the glue service:
Matthew Nelson
Layne Saliba
Joshua Puckett
Will be sharing testimonies.

Remember to send sunscreen, work gloves and work clothes, good shoes, and a jar of peanut butter for the team. (Oh...your child might be sick of PB upon our arrival home...we'll be feasting on that often)

Remember...international airport at 6:30am Sunday. Look for Mark Thomas.

Thank you for the courage to send your baby to a foreign country. I know that might be scary; thank you for entrusting them into ours (and the Lord's hands) we do not take that lightly.

Off to run more errands,
Allie
